Life at the end of may:

So, I got insurance and registration and all that for my car ('96 chevy cavalier), and I was taking it into town to have the brakes looked at... and it started making funny noises and the check engine light came on.  Dang.  So, I pulled over and called my brother.  He looked at it, then I drove it to a place to get a diagnostic test done.  There were a bunch of alarms.  The guy said that maybe it was just having problems with the fuel making it misfire... so I got some engine cleaner stuff that he recommended... seems to be running alright now.
I've been house-sitting for my Aunt and Uncle.  They gave me free access to their pantry in exchange for taing care of the dog and cat and watching the house.  Plus, I don't have to be around my brother so much that we annoy each other into insanity.  Instead, I have a quiet house with cable, good wireless internet, and running water in the kitchen (a large plus).
Today I went and watched a softball game.  Shirley's little sister's game.  Too bad Mary didn't get to play.  Tri County won both games.
I have sent my resume/applied to 33 schools/districts total now.   I just keep searching for more positive leads.
